The following are infractions that will result in consequences if they appear on Sports-Boards forums:

1] Posting of Objectionable or "Not Safe For Work (NSFW)" images. These images include, but are not limited to:

• Pornography of any form
• General nudity
• Excessive gore or violence
• Excessively gross imagery
• Other unsavory imagery

2] Posting of political subject matter. Political postings may include, but are not limited to:

• Mentioning of political figures in a political manner
• Contemporary issues with a strong connection to government
• Discussion of current government or administrative policies
• Posts expressing disgust toward government, a political figure, or a policy
• Imagery depicting a political figure in a political manner

3] Posting a personal attack toward another member of the forums, regardless of how subtle it may or may not be.

4] Plagiarizing published material. Proper citation or a link should be provided with all material that is not your own.

5] Posting spam or unsolicited advertising. Spam includes, but is not limited to:

• Making an advertisement post on any Sports-Boards forum
• Sending unsolicited private messages to Sports-Boards members to advertise
• Harvesting email addresses of our members and sending them unsolicited emails
• Acquiring instant messenger information and contacting our members to send advertisements

6] Posting complaints about moderation procedures in a public forum. These concerns shall be handled privately.

7] Creating "troll" posts, referred to as "trolling". Trolling refers to the practice of creating posts solely for the purpose of stirring the pot, or with the intentional goal of angering other people on the forums.

8] Posting your homage to a banned member. Homage to the banned includes, but is not limited to:

• Posting to ask what happened to a particular banned member
• Creating threads focused on discussing a banned member

Sports-Boards allows the use of signatures and avatars, which are images in the postbit and below a user’s post that allow for users to show their uniqueness. The following are infractions related specifically to avatars and signatures:

9] Signature images shall be no larger than 500 pixels wide and 125 pixels tall. Multiple images may be used provided their aggregate dimensions adhere to these specifications.

10] Users shall not post external links or URLs in their signature or avatar without prior permission from an administrator.

11] Users shall not post Objectionable or NSFW images in their signature, or use them as an avatar.

Should a user commit any of the above infractions, one of several actions may be taken:

1] Informal Warning - A staff member will give the user a private message explaining the infraction and the consequences of a repeat offense

2] Removal of Material - Meant specifically for signatures and avatars, A staff member will remove material violating the rules and also contact the member informing them of the consequences of a repeat offense.

3] Formal Warning - A staff member will issue a warning ranging from 1 to 10 points for a fixed period of time to the user. They will also contact the member to inform them of the consequences of a repeat offense.

4] Temporary Ban - Occurs one of two ways: A user earns 10 warning points, or by specific infraction. Banned users will be unable to access the forums or interact with members until their banishment period has expired.

5] Permanent Ban - Occurs by staff issue only. Permanently banned users are not allowed back into the Sports-Boards community.
